MISS MOORE THOUGHT OTHERWISE

Photos by Picnic Films
An interactive musical about Miss Moore, one of the creators of the first children's libraries.

Many grumpy librarians used to think that children didn't belong in libraries and that they should always be silent! Miss Moore thought otherwise. She was a librarian at the New York Public Library and she wanted libraries to be special places for children to learn, grow, play, hear music and yes... read! The grumpy librarians thought that reading wasn't very important for children and especially not for girls. Miss Moore Thought Otherwise!

Help Miss Moore create the perfect children's library in time for it's grand opening. Will Miss Moore succeed in her task or will libraries forever remain a places for adults only? Will the children of the city enjoy the new children's library?

MISS MOORE THOUGHT OTHERWISE, based on the book by Jan Pinborough, tells the story of real-life librarian: Anne Carol Moore, who revolutionised libraries for children in the early 1900s, forever changing the way that libraries work. We work in partnership with libraries to bring this musical to young audiences everywhere.
